Hati-Hati. Banyak Antivirus Palsu !!!

Inilah daftar panjang “Antivirus Palsu” tahun 2009, sekaligus sebagai peringatan bagi pemakai antivirus agar lebih berhati-hati terhadap “kebaikan” antivirus. Tahun ini saja antivirus palsu harus bertanggung jawab karena telah menginfeksi lebih dari 25 juta komputer di seluruh dunia, dan dari jumlah tersebut, antivirus palsu juga telah menginfeksi lebih dari 30 juta mesin. Naahh ngeri kan? Sumber masalahnya berasal dari taktik rekayasa sosial, melalui berbagai metode, untuk meyakinkan korban untuk membayar dan menginstall “antivirus palsu” tersebut. Program ini sebenarnya adalah penggalan kode berbahaya dari industri perangkat lunak yang memungkinkan komputer dapat disusupi oleh berbagai monikers, termasuk rogue antivirus, antivirus palsu, scareware, dll.

Microsoft telah mengumpulkan sebuah daftar yang berisi tidak kurang dari 114 AV palsu yang terdeteksi oleh produk-produk perusahaan antivirus, termasuk Microsoft Security Essentials, Forefront Client Security, dll. Penting untuk dicatat bahwa daftar hanya berisi label resmi yang disediakan oleh perangkat lunak raksasa. Masing-masing dari item yang ditampilkan di bawah ini adalah dalam berbagai paket dan dengan merek yang berlebihan, yang sebenarnya membuat jumlah antivirus palsu di alam rimba jauh lebih besar;
